So are you happy with the way it worked out?

I mean, yeah, Ohio State fans are ridiculous and spoiled and a billion other pejoratives that people like to hang on the image of whatever stereotypical meathead Buckeye fan they conjure based on memes or reading too much MGoBlog.

But, in general, Beau and I know what you know, which is that Ohio State probably didn't deserve to be in the playoff this season. It sucks that they didn't, but, well... they didn't. It's a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people because the expectation is always greater than that.

Thus, the question: are you happy with the way it worked out? I sure as hell am; a Big Ten championship and 11 wins and a bowl game against USC? I'll take that any day and twice on Sundays. But as our guest Matt Wilhelm points out, it's not equal to what we've come to expect as Ohio State fans, and maybe the standard for what we want has shifted. In a post-Urban era, it might shift the other way, but for now, we want to be Alabama, and that probably is a reasonable thing to ask.

Also, Ask Us Anything is back (and I would ask that you send us your best Christmas and holiday questions via e-mail or on Twitter), and we would also greatly appreciate it if you could rate and subscribe to us on iTunes!

0:00 The snub. If you can call it that. It was the most expected unexpected thing ever, in a way.

17:50 It wasn't the blowout win that many were hoping for, but it was also entertaining as hell and everybody got cool hats at the end. Can't ask for much more, to be completely honest.

26:51 Or can you? Matt Wilhelm helps us break down Ohio State's season, along with what went wrong, what went right, and what could've gone a lot better.

36:45 So how're we feeling this whole USC thing? Good? I'm feeling pretty good. Plus, Ask Us Anything has us ruminate on possible playoff expansion.

And that does it for this week! Thanks to Bend Active for sponsoring us, thanks to Travis for our kickass logo, thanks to you for listening and checking out our Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
