I'm hitting you with all the nostalgia today.

If you're anything like me, you'll spend the next few minutes wistfully Google Image searching "Wendy's sunroom."

Simpler times, man.

Word of the Day: Excogitate

BLACK AIN'T BACK. For those of you holding your breath on those Internet rumors that Ohio State was going to be wearing their all-blacks, I've got bad news: the Buckeyes will be in their standard issue Scarlet and Gray uniforms this weekend.

You know, these ones:

Scarlet and Gray

That probably means we won't see the black uniforms this season unless Ohio State opts to wear them in the postseason, which would mean not wearing the glorious gray striped masterpieces we've all come to love to know.

As for the final regular season game against that one team to the north, I personally would love to see the Buckeyes roll out the new scarlet pants with the road white jerseys.

And before you tradition purists crucify me...

Scarlet Pants

If you don't think scarlet pants are a part of Buckeye football tradition, I guess you don't think Heisman Trophy winner Les Horvath is, either!

SNUBBED! My good pal Dan Hope is a consummate professional.

So when the Biletnikoff Award announced its semifinalists yesterday, he went with the very non-controversial headline, "Ohio State Wide Receiver Chris Olave Among 10 Semifinalists for Biletnikoff Award" and went with this Tweet:

Thank God he was the one to handle that news because my headline would have been something along the lines of "Ohio State's Third-Most-Productive Receiver and Preseason Reserve Receiver Named Semifinalists For Award Given to Nation's Best Receiver."

To be clear, I mean no disrespect to Chris Olave. He clearly deserves this and I would have been apoplectic had he been snubbed too. But if he makes this list, I have no idea how you leave off his two teammates who both have more receptions and yards. And Jameson Williams deserves this, too, but at the end of the day, there's a reason he's at Alabama right now.

Would it have looked ridiculous for one school to make up 30 percent of the list? Maybe! But the Buckeyes have three of the top-10 receivers in the country and pretending that they don't just looks even more ridiculous.

Oh well. I guess this just means Garrett Wilson will have to come back for another year to get his proper recognition.

PERFECT. I think it's hilarious that while the Buckeyes have an absolute Death Star of an offense, they also have a tiny little secret weapon that's low-key the most reliable and consistent part of the whole thing.

Noah Ruggles hasn't just been good this year; he's been perfect. And he's been the best perfect of anybody who's been perfect so far this year.

So, let's break this down.

Ohio State has the best receivers in the country, the highest-rated offensive line in the country, the Heisman Trophy favorite at quarterback, one of the most explosive running backs in the country, and also the best kicker in the country.

That seems unfair! I like it!

LONG SNAPPERS, TOO! Since we're talking about players who may just be the best in the country at their position, we may as well just go ahead and throw the long snapper in there, too.

Buckeye ball snapper Bradley Robinson was named one of 10 finalists for the Patrick Mannelly Long Snapper Award, which is – as you might imagine – given to the nation's top long snapper.

I mean, why the hell not?

BROYLES AWARD FOR K-DUB? When you're the co-offensive coordinator of what is, without doubt, the most dominant offense in the country, you're probably going to get some recognition.

And that's what Kevin Wilson got on Monday when he was announced one of 59 nominees for this year's Broyles Award, given to college football's top assistant coach.

To paraphrase Urban Meyer, if they're giving out trophies, we want to win one. Let's bring it home, Mr. Wilson.

COME HANG OUT. I'm here again to remind you that we'll be recording this week's Eleven Dubcast live from a central Ohio Buffalo Wild Wings, and you're invited! So if you like delicious food, cold beverages and Buckeye football, come hang out!

tEleven Warriors

This week, the Dubcast will be heading to the Taylor Street Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday at 7 p.m. and we want you, your friends, and your family to be there!
