Ohio Governor John Kasich signed a resolution today naming Saturday, November 29th, 2014, as Ohio's second annual "Scarlet Letter Saturday," in which Ohioans are advised to "avoid using the letter M whenever possible."

Also notable, the resolution declares Barry Alvarez, Pat Haden, Tom Jernstedt, Tom Osborne, Dan Radakovich, Condoleeza Rice, Mike Tranghese, Steve Wieberg, Tyrone Willingham, and Archie Mannining (get well soon, Archie) as honorary Ohioans.

If those names seem random, they're not; all of them belong to the Playoff Selection Committee. Noticeably absent from the list are committee head Jeff Long, Oliver Luck, and Mike Gould, as those men are already "native Ohioans."

The full resolution can be seen below:

Any little bit of juice to get Ohio State into the playoffs helps, I suppose.
