Former Ohio State players have now won two of the NFL’s three Offensive Rookie of the Month awards this season.

After Emeka Egbuka was the NFL’s first Offensive Rookie of the Month this season in September, fellow 2024 national champion TreVeyon Henderson is the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month for November.

After a quiet first two months of the season, Henderson had a breakout month of November, running for 397 yards and four touchdowns and adding 100 receiving yards and another touchdown across the New England Patriots’ last two games, all of which they won. (Note: Although it was technically played on Dec. 1, the Patriots’ Monday night win over the Giants counted toward the NFL’s November awards, as the rest of the NFL’s Week 13 games were played in November.)

Henderson’s month was highlighted by a two-touchdown game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in which he had breakaway touchdown runs of 55 and 69 yards, and a three-touchdown game just four days later on Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.

Henderson has now emerged as the Patriots’ No. 1 running back and has rushed for 625 yards and five touchdowns on 129 carries this season. With 824 total rushing and receiving yards, he ranks third among all NFL rookies in yards from scrimmage this season behind only Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Ashton Jeanty and fellow former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins.

With Henderson rapidly becoming a star, the Patriots have won 10 straight games and lead the NFL with an 11-2 record this season.
