The NCAA has been the punching bag for generations of collegiate sports fans, going back to the days when John Wooden was shrugging his shoulders and winking into the camera every time one of UCLA's boosters paid a kid to become a Bruin.
And now, in the Mad Maxian era of NIL warlords and a transfer portal (...to HELL), it seems like the Powers That Be are more neutered than ever. The good news is that they can start to claw back their credibility by turning the Michigan football program into a fine paste.
Will they? Who the hell knows! But George and I try to figure that out while also discussing other, not-stupid decisions that Charlie Baker and company have decided to start making after years and years and years of very yes-stupid ones.
Plus Ask Us Anything and a debate about gray basketball courts.
- Will Michigan get hammered? Will I need to get hammered to keep speculating about Michigan getting hammered? Yes!
- NIL consolidation, revenue sharing, and only one transfer window? It's like there's a party at the NCAA office, and everyone's invited!
- Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, has a question about bumper stickers, and I offend several billion people.
- You're never too young the be a Buckeye, or to make some sweet cash by telling everyone that you're going to eventually be a Buckeye.
- New basketball court looks dope. Now win some games, dammit!
- See ya, Jerry!
