Ohio State Ranked No. 4 in Preseason Coaches Poll Ahead of 2021 Football Season

The Buckeyes are No. 4.

Ohio State will kick off the season as the No. 4 team in college football as the Buckeyes check in at No. 4 in the preseason AFCA Coaches Poll.

The Buckeyes are ranked behind Alabama at No. 1, Clemson at No. 2 and Oklahoma at No. 3. Ohio State comes in just ahead of Georgia in the preseason rankings as the Bulldogs will open the season at No. 5.

Ohio State is the highest-ranked of four Big Ten teams in the preseason poll with Wisconsin ranked No. 15, Indiana ranked No. 17, Iowa at No. 18 and Penn State at No. 20. Michigan is unranked in the preseason coaches poll for the first time since 2015.

Oregon, the Buckeyes' Week 2 opponent, is Ohio State's highest-ranked opponent in the preseason poll, debuting at No. 12.
