The gregarious defensive tackle from Dayton spent five years at Ohio State, helping Larry Johnson's line get interior penetration from the 1-technique. Landers, in his career, had 65 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries. Backing up DaVon Hamilton for most of his redshirt senior season, he collected 14 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss.

During Landers' career, Ohio State held a 61-7 record with five straight victories versus Michigan. Twice, the Buckeyes appeared in the College Football Playoff. He won three Big Ten titles, beat Notre Dame in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl, USC in the 2017 Cotton Bowl and Washington in the 2019 Rose Bowl.
