A Columbus native from Walnut Ridge, Harrison decided late in the recruiting process to stay home and made the most of his four years playing for his hometown team. The linebacker started each of the past two seasons and collected 205 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, nine sacks, nine pass breakups, three fumble recoveries and an interception in his career. He tied for the team lead in tackles in 2018 with 81 and led the Buckeyes with 75 tackles in 2019.

In his four years, the Buckeyes went 49-6 with four straight wins against Michigan. They also appeared in the College Football Playoff twice, won three Big Ten championships and beat USC in the  2017 Cotton Bowl and Washington in the 2019 Rose Bowl.
