A few Buckeyes could be picking up some hardware at the end of the season as a trio of Ohio State players are named semifinalists for major postseason awards.

Justin Fields was named a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the most outstanding player in college football. So far this season, Fields has 1,659 yards and 24 touchdowns through the air with a 68.8 completion percentage and just one interception.

Jeff Okudah is a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, given annually to the top defensive player in college football. Through eight games this season, Okudah has three interceptions, three passes defended and a forced fumble along with 21 tackles, one of which went for a loss.

Chase Young is a finalist for both the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards after he's emerged as almost certainly the top player in college football. So far this season, Young has 13.5 sacks (just half a sack shy of the Ohio State single-season record), 15.5 tackles for loss and  five forced fumbles.
