Following Ohio State's 26-6 win over Michigan State on Saturday, Urban Meyer announced to his team in the locker room that the game ball from Saturday's victory would be presented to former Ohio State cornerback William White, who is currently battling ALS.

He gave the ball to White's son, Brendon White, who had just started his first game at safety for the Buckeyes, and on Sunday, Brendon White had the opportunity to give that game ball to his dad in front of the rest of the team inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

Ohio State posted video to its official Twitter account on Sunday of both of those moments.

"I haven't talked to our captains about this, but I know you would approve me of doing this," Meyer said in the locker room after the game. "A guy I love to death. A guy that's going through some stuff right now."

William White thanked the Buckeyes for their gesture after receiving the ball from his son on Sunday.

"I really appreciate the love of Buckeye Nation and the Buckeye Family," White said. "Y'all are not just a team. This is a family. A family ain't just for four years or three years. Family is for life. The Buckeye Family for life."
