Suppose you woke up one morning and the fate of civilization rested on a flag football game between five Big Ten players and aliens, like Space Jam but featuring grittier athletes than an infamous crying man like Michael Jordan.

Such was the scenario The Players' Tribune presented to Penn State football players in a survey. Whom would they select? The only catch is they couldn't select teammates.

They chose Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett, running back J.K. Dobbins, defensive end Nick Bosa, Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell and Indiana wide receiver Simmie Cobbs.

Cobbs and Jewell are two athletes who shouldn't garner as much of a quibble from Ohio State fans. Both balled in outings against Ohio State.

Though it'd be interesting to see how Barrett would be deployed on defense, his nominations speaks for the respect the Buckeye engendered after a 3-1 career record against the Nittany Lions.
