The college football rumor industrial complex heated up this week when a random poster on a Miami forum mentioned "some rumblings" about Ohio State freshman wide receiver Trevon Grimes transferring to Miami on a hardship waiver.

The rumor seemingly had legs as Grimes recently followed Miami's recruiting director on Twitter.

Grimes, a four-star prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas, originally chose the Buckeyes over the Hurricanes in August 2016, and the blue-chipper maintained his commitment to February 2017.

After Urban Meyer cancelled Monday's media conference to deal with a player's family medical emergency, Jeremy Birmingham of Land of 10 said Tuesday, "people have reasonably presumed that it involved Trevon Grimes."

Wednesday, Grimes seemingly addressed the issues with an Instagram post geotagged to Broward County, Florida.

It must be noted it's easier to post on Instagram than returning from a torn ACL and earning playing time at Ohio State as a true freshman.

The Buckeyes probably aren't out of the woods yet and may have to "re-recruit" Grimes, but his mind is clearly in Columbus as of now—even if his body isn't.

UPDATE (7:01 p.m.): Meyer updated Grimes' status at his Wednesday night presser:
