ESPN reported today that IU is backing out of a scheduled home-and-home with Notre Dame in 2030 and 2031. The reasoning is IU’s “strategy” for out-of-conference matchups, which basically means they only want to play cupcakes.
With the expanded playoff, I see this as a weak move, and a disservice to their fans.
