Ohio State held its first scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday afternoon, and it was as hard-hitting as you may have expected. Just ask offensive tackle Branden Bowen's helmet:

Riddell might not be thrilled to see its top-of-the-line SpeedFlex helmet with a rather large crack in it, but I'm willing to bet head coach Urban Meyer and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa are more than happy with the intensity of the scrimmage.
