If it seems like Urban Meyer has run over the Big Ten unlike anything we've ever seen since he joined the conference in 2012, that's not scarlet-colored glasses for the Ohio State fan.

Urban Meyer coached Ohio State to its 30th-straight Big Ten win, breaking a record it tied last week with Florida State's 29-straight ACC wins from 1992 to 1995. No other program in the current conference landscape has won as many league games in a row as the Buckeyes have from 2012 to the present. The qualifier of "current" conferences is important since it omits Oklahoma's 44-game winning streak in the defunct Big Seven.

Most Consecutive Victories, Conference Games
Conference Team Wins Years
BIG TEN OHIO STATE 30 2012-CURRENT
ACC FLORIDA STATE 29 1992-95
ACC FLORIDA STATE 27 2012-15
SEC ALABAMA 27 1976-80
BIG EAST MIAMI 27 1999-2003
SEC FLORIDA 24 1994-97
ACC FLORIDA STATE 24 1998-2001
MWC TCU 24 2008-11
MAC NORTHERN ILLINOIS 24 2011-14
SEC GEORGIA 23 1980-83
PAC-12 CALIFORNIA 22 1947-50
BIG 12 KANSAS STATE 21 1997-99

Separating itself from 1990s Florida State is an accomplishment in and of itself. However, crushing it in the Big Ten is standard fare for Ohio State since its addition to the league in 1912. Look at where Ohio State ranks among all-time Big Ten winning streaks.

Longest B1G Win Streaks
Team Wins Years
OHIO STATE 30 2012-CURRENT
OHIO STATE 20 2005-07
MICHIGAN 19 1900-02
OHIO STATE 17 1974-76
OHIO STATE 17 1967-69
OHIO STATE 17 1954-56

Ohio State could put more distance between itself and 1990s Florida State with a win next Saturday against Michigan State on senior day. It could also continue a conspicuous string of undefeated starts to the season since 2000.
