Ohio State has added a second-team All-ACC safety for the second time in two days.

Former Duke safety Terry Moore, who earned second-team All-ACC honors in 2024 before missing the 2025 season with a torn ACL, announced his transfer commitment to Ohio State on Monday.

Moore was one of the nation’s top safeties in 2024, recording 71 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four interceptions, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a sack. Pro Football Focus gave Moore the second-highest overall grade (90.1) among all safeties who played at least 100 snaps during the 2024 season.

The Moore File

  • Year: Redshirt Senior
  • Size: 6-1/200
  • Pos: S
  • Previous School: Duke (2022-25)
  • 2025 Stats: Did not play (torn ACL)

Moore missed the entire 2025 season after tearing his ACL in Duke’s final game of 2024, a Gator Bowl loss to Ole Miss. He brings one year of eligibility to Ohio State.

Moore’s addition comes one day after the Buckeyes landed a commitment from former Florida State safety Earl Little Jr. They join Jaylen McClain as likely starting safeties for Ohio State in 2026. Little could move to the nickel safety spot following the addition of Moore, though he has the versatility to play any of Ohio State’s three safety spots.

Moore becomes the seventh overall transfer addition for Ohio State in 2026.
