Trevon Grimes, Ohio State's top receiving commit in the 2017 class, was having himself a day against the nation's No. 1 high school Bishop Gorman until he was carted off the field with a left leg injury.

Grimes put St. Thomas Aquinas ahead late in the third quarter with a deep touchdown catch off a halfback pass.

Later, while the Aquinas was up 10-3 and looking to pad its lead on the nation's No. 1 team, Grimes injured his left leg in the end-zone on a play where Ohio State target Bubba Bolden picked off his second pass of the night.

The injury appears to be to Grimes' left knee. He was carted off the field and would not return.

UPDATE Sunday, Oct. 2: Grimes confirmed via Twitter that he suffered a torn MCL.
