Eleven Warriors has wrangled a Hog.

Ohio State legends Andy Katzenmoyer, J.K. Dobbins, Maurice Clarett and Michael Jenkins headlined the first four 12th Warrior Happy Hours. We'll continue next week in the same fashion, welcoming former Buckeye All-American offensive lineman and current radio color commentator Jim Lachey to appear on the live Q&A, Thursday, May 7 at 6 p.m.

In an exclusive Google Meet with Lachey, 12th Warriors will hear untold stories, ask questions and connect with an all-time Buckeye like never before. It's relaxed. It's interactive. It's our way of saying thank you for backing independent Ohio State sports coverage, for representing Eleven Warriors and for being the heart of what we do at 11W.

Grab your drink of choice, log on and let's make some memories. We'll share further details in the Premium Lounge next week.

Jim Lachey, Ohio State Legend

Lachey was a dominant, technically sound offensive lineman who anchored the trenches during Earle Bruce’s tenure, embodying the toughness and physical identity of Ohio State football in the early 1980s.

A three-year starter from 1982 to 1984, Lachey developed into one of the most decorated linemen in program history, earning consensus All-American honors as a senior. His combination of strength, intelligence and fundamentally precise play made him the cornerstone of the Buckeyes’ offensive line, consistently paving the way in both the run game and pass protection.

Lachey’s legacy in Columbus is defined by his commanding presence and elite play during his final season. In 1984, he emerged as one of the nation’s premier offensive linemen, helping lead Ohio State to a Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl appearance. His dominance in the trenches set the standard for future generations of Buckeye linemen and established Ohio State as a pipeline for elite offensive line talent.

Following his standout college career, the St. Henry, Ohio, native was selected in the first round of the 1985 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers before finding his footing with Washington, where he became one of the league’s most reliable left tackles. Lachey played a pivotal role on Washington’s offensive lines — a group nicknamed "The Hogs" — earning four All-Pro and three Pro Bowl selections and helping the franchise capture a Super Bowl title following the 1991 season. Known for his durability and consistency, he became one of the most respected linemen of his era, protecting quarterbacks and opening lanes with the same precision he displayed in Columbus.

In his post-football life, Lachey has remained deeply connected to the game and to Ohio State. He transitioned into broadcasting, becoming a familiar voice as a longtime radio analyst for the Buckeyes, where his insight and perspective have made him a trusted figure for fans. Lachey continues to serve as a proud ambassador for the program, representing the tradition of excellence along the offensive line while staying actively engaged with the Ohio State community and its storied football legacy.
