Despite making almost a dozen trips to Ohio State in the last two years, four-star defensive back Damar Hamlin has decided to stay home. The Pittsburgh Central Catholic star committed to his hometown Panthers, picking Pat Narduzzi's program over Ohio State and Penn State.

Hamlin, who made an official visit to Pittsburgh this past weekend, had been expected to stay home, but that hadn't stopped the Buckeyes from working overtime to try and bring him to Columbus. He made an official visit to Ohio State in mid-January and was visited by Urban Meyer, Luke Fickell and Kerry Coombs last Thursday on the eve of his final visit to Pitt.

The choice for Hamlin was not, despite most believing he'd choose Pitt, an easy one. The Buckeyes have been there from the start in his recruitment and at one time were the favorites to land the country's 14th-ranked cornerback. Still, second place is the first loser and tonight, to this point, the Buckeyes are the loser.

Ohio State will find out their fate with New Jersey's Jordan Fuller in roughly one hour and they're still right in the thick of things for Kissimmee, Florida's Carlos Becker, who will announce his college choice (between the Buckeyes and Florida State) on Wednesday morning.
