I have recently received the book and have only read thru the first 5 chapters. I will add more in the comments section if there is interest.
Chapter 1: the chapter starts with Ryan Day at age 8 after losing his father to suicide. He became very competitive likely as a means of dealing with his loss. He met Nina when they were on the same Tee ball team, became friends but romance didn't happen until college. Ryan excelled at baseball, football and basketball during high school.
Chapter 2: Day's coaching career up to the point of getting hired at Ohio State, starting out as a GA at small colleges. His last GA was at Florida under Meyer. Ryan and Nina married while at Florida and they struggled financially with the low GA pay. Working his way up thru the ranks really makes the asinine Hairball comment about 3rd base show just how low Hairball is.
Chapters 3 and 4: Ryan Day as OC, acting head coach and becoming head coach. Recruiting. Knowing Tate couldn't be QB1. Heartbreak of Day's first loss - Clemson '19. It took Day a long, long time to get over the loss. Dealing with Covid.
Chapter 5: Day went over and over the '22 loss to the Cheaters. He knew they had all the signs, he just didn't know how the got them. Cade Stover told him during the game that the Cheaters called out the TE screen play before the snap. A few days after the '23 loss to the Cheaters, McCord wanted Day to assure him that he would be QB1 in '24 and wanted more NIL.
There is plenty more that I haven't mentioned and I highly recommend reading the book. BTW, I also enjoyed the author's prevous book "The Chase" about the '14 season.
