The 2019 Women's World Cup kicks off this weekend and it'll have some Buckeye flavor.

The prestigious international soccer tournament will include three former Ohio State players with former Buckeyes Lindsay Agnew and Nichelle Prince competing for team Canada and Tiffany Cameron for Jamaica. All three are making their first-ever World Cup appearance.

Born in Toronto to Jamaican parents, Cameron was formerly a member of the Canadian soccer program along with Prince and Agnew, but changed her affiliation to Jamaica and made her debut in February.

Cameron played for the Buckeyes from 2009-12 and remains the program's all-time leading scorer with 40 goals and 96 career points. Her senior season at Ohio State, Cameron netted 21 goals, shattering the previous single-season record of 13. She also had a nation's-best nine game-winning goals in her senior season.

Prince competed for Ohio State from 2013-16 and had one of the best Buckeye careers in recent history, finishing fourth on Ohio State's career assist list with 20, sixth with 74 career points and tied for eighth with 27 career goals.

She's been a regular for team Canada, even while she was at Ohio State, appearing in 50 games and starting in 22 with 10 goals and eight assists to her name.

Agnew – a Dublin, Ohio native – played with the Buckeyes at the same time as Prince, from 2013-2016. Her senior season, she was a co-captain and led the team with 10 goals and eight assists. She finished her career just behind Prince on Ohio State's all-time assists list with 19. A defender, Agnew has made 11 appearances and four stars for team Canada.

Canada begins World Cup play against Cameroon on Monday at 3 p.m. while Jamaica takes on Brazil at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Both games will be broadcast nationally on FS1.
