McDonald's All-American

Tori McCoy was the last member to commit to Ohio State's dream, 2016 recruiting class, joining Kiara Lewis and Jensen Caretti to complete a trifecta of five-stars.

Last, but certainly not least.

Sunday night, McCoy was named to the 2016 McDonald's All-American Team.

The 6-foot-4-inch forward is the No. 10 overall 2016 prospect, according to ESPN.com, and the fourth at her position. Like most high-level forwards, she is dangerous in the post in a half-court offense, but it's her transition game that will make dangerous in Kevin McGuff's offense. Dan Olson of ESPN.com repeatedly calls her "superb in uptempo," which bodes well for her as she enters an offense loves to push it up the floor.

With McCoy's selection, the Buckeyes will have five McDonald's All-Americans on the roster next season – Kelsey Mitchell and the three transfers Sierra Calhoun, Stephanie Mavunga and Linnae Harper.

On THe Right Track

Ohio State track and field teams continued their stellar start this weekend at the Kentucky Invitational, earning victories in five events.

Both the men's and women's 4x400-meter relay teams stole the show this weekend.

The women's team, made up of freshman Karrington Winters, senior SoSo Walker, junior Aaliyah Barnes and sophomore Beatrice Hannan, finished with an NCAA-leading time of 3:36.16 – the second fastest time in Ohio State indoor history.

On the men's side, the team – freshman Nick Gray, redshirt senior Antonio Blanks, senior Champ Page and sophomore Jerry Jackson – posted a time of 3:11.91 which was good enough for first at the meet and a top-10 performance nationally.

In women's 60-meter hurdles, sophomore Chantel Ray finished first with a personal-best time of 8.28 seconds, a top-10 finish nationally, while senior Alexis Franklin took third-place.

Champ Page made his individual season debut this weekend and turned some heads. The senior took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.01 seconds – the top time in the Big Ten this season and third-best in Division I.

Beatrice Hannan also impressed in the individual 400-meter dash, earning a runner-up finish with a time of 54.29 seconds – a time which leads Big Ten and ranks No. 8 nationally.

Next up, the team travels to Birmingham Ala., for the Power 5 Conference Clash, Jan. 22-23.
