Joe McKnight, a former USC standout and Louisiana high school superstar, was murdered in his hometown in an apparent road rage incident. A witness told police that a man began yelling at McKnight, as the latter tried to apologize. The man then shot McKnight, yelled "I told you, don't you f**k with me," and then proceeded to shoot him again. McKnight's body was found on the highway.
As some of you may recall, Joe was displaced from his home after Hurricane Katrina. He was a historic player at John Curtis High School. He arrived at USC with hopes of being the next Reggie Bush, and although he didn't quite reach those expectations, he was a good player for the Trojans.
Absolutely disgusting... condolences to the McKnight family as they have to cope with this senseless act.
