A 9-year-old bat boy died Sunday evening after getting hit in the head as a baseball player took practice swings in Kansas, his team said.

A reminder for people who are hard on athletes.  We've all seen some bad injuries and yet we kept playing knowing that at any time we could be hurt.  I will try to remember this and not be as hard on a player who made a mistake as I haven't played competitively for so long this part seems to have been forgotten for me.  I saw this happen in little league.  The person hit by the on deck batter only needed stitches & probably lost some teeth but it was still hard to play in that game after seeing that.
