Let me start this little anecdote by saying that my fiancee couldn't care less about football. In fact, she actively dislikes it, and especially dislikes when I get animated and shout about it.
Tonight, while watching this rollercoaster of a playoff game, she was hiding in our bedroom, keeping quiet, hoping Ohio State would win only because I'd be in a better mood.
The clock hit zeroes in the game, I turned off the TV.
Out comes my fiancee, wearing an Ohio State shirt to give me a hug. It's these little gestures from the people who love you that mean everything--way more important than the outcome of any football game.
