Smith appeared in three games during his stint with the Titans, but played only on special teams and did not log any rushing attempts. He also spent time with the New York Giants during the preseason, but was released with an injury settlement in September after initially being placed on injured reserve before the start of the season.
Prior to this year, Smith spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, where he served as a backup to fellow former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott. For his NFL career, Smith has 101 carries for 364 yards and five touchdowns and five catches for 30 yards and one touchdown.
