...and, if so, do you think the rest of us here don’t quite have a full appreciation or understanding of the game, in general, and what the Buckeye players go through, in particular, because we haven’t experienced it first-hand?
I’m not trying to be a smart alec in this post. I’m just very curious because, while I played soccer for many years and I feel those competitive experiences give me certain insights, I also have long felt that the physicality of football is something that truly distinguishes it. Of course, I experienced my share of serious contact in soccer (along with my share of injuries), but I still believe the level of sheer physical force in football is on another level.
So, what do our ex-football players have to say about this? Thanks.
PS—and, if you should weigh in here, please don’t be shy about identifying where you played and what position you played. And who was the best player you ever went up against?
