247 sports has put out their 2018 College Football Team Talent Composite which looks at which team has the most talent based on their players composite rankings when they left HS.  The first 3 years Bama was 1 and OSU was 3, 5, and 2 last year.  Most talented teams OSU has to play before playoffs are TTUN 8,  MD 26, NE 26, MSU 30, MN 48, and possibly WI at 33.  PSU is 13 and TCU 33.  In past years Bama always made the playoffs and 3 of 4 teams were in top 10 of talent.  OU was 16 and 18 last 2 years, and WA was 29 the year before.  OR was 20 that year so if the metric existed they would not have been in the top 10 the first year of the playoffs.
