Listening to TV Saturday night a sports talk show today I gotta say I am sick of hearing how Mendoza had his Heisman moment on Saturday. Did they all just watch one play and declare it a "Moment," or did they watch the whole game? When the game got close, largely because Mendoza was not playing anything other than average, he threw an interception. On what might have been their last drive of the game he thew an incompletion on third down leading to a punt, So that final drive was actually his third attempt to salt away the game. All these talking heads are wetting their pants over 5 good passes at the end of a crappy game, while completely ignoring that they needed the heroics because Mendoza was just another QB for the entire rest of the game. The reason Sayin didn't have a chance for his "Heisman moment" against PSU was that he played so well for the entire game their was no need for late game heroics. At the 2 minute left mark of our game Saying was 20 of 23 for over 300 yards and 4 TDs. At the 2 minute mark of their game Mendoza was 14 of 25 for 130 yards, no TDs and an interception. And somehow all they can talk about is Mendoza'a "Heisman moment" as if nothing but that last pass mattered.
