Thought that this was a good read and a perspective that hasn't been seen as much around here, as the comments have been very pro-Urban and 11W's coverage has been more news-based and not column-based, but here's Mark Titus giving his thoughts and feelings about this whole saga: https://www.theringer.com/2018/8/9/17665722/ohio-state-urban-meyer-zach-courtney-smith-case
Here's an excerpt:
I don’t like Ohio State’s football team because a sense of tribalism tells my caveman brain to cheer for the guys in scarlet and gray to score more points than the guys in maize and blue. I like the Buckeyes football team because I’m proud of my alma mater and want every person who sits in an Ohio State classroom to accomplish great things. I want people from Ohio State to become great citizens and go out of their way to make a positive impact on their communities; I want someone from Ohio State to cure cancer, be the first to set foot on Mars, and figure out a way to sell the McRib year-round. When that greatness comes in the form of Ohio State embarrassing Michigan on a football field every November—six years in a row!—well, that’s pretty cool, too.
