I believe that after letting the story die down for a week or so, OSU should come out and say something along the lines of "The police were the ones who failed Courtney Smith, not Urban Meyer, and while we wish we had full knowledge of the situation and fired Smith sooner, he is no longer a part of the organization and it is time to move forward as a program.  We regret the pain caused to Courtney and wish her the best moving forward." 

Your thoughts?  Would this statement be enough or is it too late to come back from this whole situation?
