Pederson led the Philadelphia Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl championship last season, while Payton – who led the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl in 2009 – currently heads a roster that includes six former Ohio State players: Michael Thomas, Vonn Bell, Marshon Lattimore, Ted Ginn Jr., Kurt Coleman and J.T. Barrett.
Former Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk, meanwhile, will play alongside Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and Arizona State coach Herm Edwards in tomorrow's first round of the tournament.
Televised coverage of the American Century Championship begins Friday at 3 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.
