In the midst of his summer vacation before preparations for the upcoming football season begins, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is heading to Nevada to play some golf.

Meyer is among the celebrities set to participate in this week's American Century Championship, an annual celebrity golf tournament that brings figures from the sports and entertainment worlds to Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club in Stateline, Nevada.

Practice rounds for the tournament will be held Tuesday and Wednesday. The American Century Celeb-Am Tournament will be held Thursday, while the three championship rounds of the tournament will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Live television coverage of the American Century Championship begins at 3 p.m. Friday on NBC Sports Network and will continue at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on NBC.

Meyer, who previously participated in the American Century Championship in 2012, won't be the only Buckeye in this year's field of celebrity golfers; former Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk is also set to participate in the tournament.

Something to watch for: Hawk has a history of obliterating fans who volunteer for the opportunity to be tackled by him.

Per one Las Vegas casino, Meyer has 200/1 odds to win the tournament while Hawk has 1000/1 odds.

Other participants in this week's tournament include Arizona State coach Herman Edwards, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, former Michigan stars Charles Woodson and Chris Webber and of course, Charles Barkley, who has become infamous for his struggles on the course at the tournament each year. You can visit the American Century Championship's website to see the full list of participants.
