Recently, I was looking through Ohio State's 2012 recruiting class, which is still incredibly impressive considering all the negative press we were getting at the time. The names at the top were impressive, with guys like Noah Spence and Adolphus Washington. But the names at the bottom really surprised me.
The class had 25 signees. I am going to look at the 10 lowest ranked players, who all happened to be 3 stars, besides one 2-star, who you all are very familiar with.
- #16 = Taylor Decker.
- #17 = Jacoby Boren
- #18 = Cardale Jones. Nuff said
- #23 = Michael Thomas
- #25 = Tyvis Powell. Who was a 2-star
Think about that. 5 of the 10 lowest rated players in the 2012 class, were all key parts of a National Championship team. And I think "key" is even an understatement. These guys were stars for us. Just a kind reminder that, while 4-star and 5-star kids are great to have, you can't forget about the kids at the bottom.
My apologies as well, I accidentally hit "Save" before I was even close to finished.
