So I just saw a commercial on ESPN for the college football playoff semifinals. This season, they are on New Year's Day. The first semifinal (Rose Bowl) kicks off at 5:00pm EST, while the other semifinal (Sugar Bowl) kicks off at 8:45pm EST. A near 9pm kickoff seems absolutely insane to me. Has it been like this in years past? I always thought it was 4 and 8. 9:00 just seems kind of crazy. Am I alone in this thought? Let me know.
