With all of the talk about Herman, Fickell, Muschamp, etc., do we devalue the role of the head coach? The great coaches that always seem to win go through numerous coordinators, but often do not miss a beat (Urban, Saban, Belichick, etc.) Not in any way trying to say coordinators are not important, but often coordinators go out on their own and do not have the same type of success as a head coach. I am just glad that we have Urban, and will always know we are in good hands regardless of who is on his staff.
Do we place too much emphasis on coordinators?
