Ohio State, which also earned a double overtime win over No. 1 seed Notre Dame in the second round, will now face No. 3 seed Florida State in the quarterfinals for a berth in the College Cup. The Buckeyes will play the Seminoles on either Friday or Saturday at a time to be announced.
It’s just the third time the Buckeyes have advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. They’re seeking their second-ever appearance in the College Cup, making their only previous College Cup appearance in 2010, when they lost to Notre Dame in the national semifinals.
