Ohio State wrestling had a dominant performance against the second-ranked team in the country in the semifinals of the National Duals Invitational on Sunday morning.

The fourth-ranked Buckeyes defeated No. 2 Nebraska, 33-3, to advance to Sunday night’s championship match against No. 3 Iowa, which begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.

Ohio State earned wins in every weight class except one against the Cornhuskers, including a fall by Ethan Stiles at 149 pounds and major decisions by Ben Davino (133), Brandon Cannon (157) and Paddy Gallagher (165).

The National Duals Invitational is a new tournament that awards a total of $1 million in prize money, with the winning team in Sunday night’s championship match set to win $200,000. The money will be awarded to programs rather than directly to athletes, as NCAA rules don’t allow athletes to compete directly for prize money even though they can be paid for use of their name, image and likeness.
