In 2009, Texas played Nebraska for the conference title.   Since then, these two programs have been.... uh... less than stellar.

The two programs have almost identical records/results.   The one GLARING difference is the recruiting:  Texas has tons of great recruits close to home, in state, while Nebraska doesn't.   Texas gets tons of 5 star guys but manages to do absolutely nothing with them.  This is really a scathing indictment of coaching and development at Texas --- how do you perform exactly the same year after year as a program with vastly inferior talent???
