UNC Mack Brown being interviewed about going to bowl. Hearing him say its a win win because some of these kids have no where to go for the holidays and dont get gifts so they are excited. Wow, makes you really think differently about what some call a meaningless bowl.

If you would've asked me yesterday, I would've said we need to reduce the amount of bowl games, and to only accept 8-4 teams, at the minimum. But after reading this, hell with it, and let Akron play in a bowl game. 

For those that aren't aware, the NCAA permits Bowl Sponsor's to give gifts "swag" to the players. For example, a kid from my high school was on Ohio U's team a few years ago, and got a Google Chromebook, an IPad, a PS4,  and various other gifts, from the various bowl games. 

Edit: After reading this from Mack, I texted my buddy that was on the team to get his thoughts, and he said the travel was priceless. Said several of his teammates were having a blast building sandcastles (Bahamas Bowl), because it was the first time they had been on a beach.
