Can Indiana Take MSU's Place in the Big Ten Pecking Order?

When we crushed Indiana 51-10 in their own house earlier in the season, it looked like Indiana was heading for another typically mediocre season. They then lost a close game to a Michigan State team that at the time seemed pretty solid. But now? Michigan State has to scrap for a sixth win against Maryland, while Indiana looks likely to finish the regular season with 8 wins. And that's with their starting QB out for most of the season.

Tom Allen looks like a solid coach who's building a strong foundation for future success, while Dantonio and his MSU program seem to be circling the drain. Obviously Ohio State is going to control the Big Ten for the foreseeable future, while Penn State and Michigan will serve as the primary challengers, but with Michigan State's apparent collapse, Indiana looks primed to fill their void.

I personally don't see Indiana ever threatening OSU for Big Ten dominance, but I would love to have another competitive team in the conference.
