Not sure how many of you watched Houston vs. Tulane last night, but it ended up being a pretty good game, with a number of long TD plays. The clear highlight of the night, though, came at the very end when, with the score tied at 31 apiece and 18 seconds left in the game, Tulane lined up in the victory formation to apparently take a knee and send the game to OT.
Except, Tulane didn't do that. Instead, they faked a kneel-down on their own 29 yard-line and ran a quasi-Statue of Liberty play for an almost 20 yard gain... I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. One play later, Tulane scored a 53 yard game-winning TD with just 3 seconds left on the clock. Watch it for yourself- it's pretty neat.
Anyway, stuff like this reminds me why I love college football so much.
