Not saying the committee got it wrong, won't know until after the games tonight but if this bowl season has proven anything it's that the Big Ten is the best conference in college football and the SEC is overrated this year.
For most of the season, the committee treated LSU as if it were a quality win. LSU is a very average team. Auburn was inside the final four as a 2 loss team and they go down to UCF. The SEC is currently 2-5 in bowl games whereas the Big Ten is 7-1.
UCF looked like and played like a top four team. Ohio State is the best team in the best conference.
Maybe the committee got it right but results so far show that one of the top four spots should have been reserved for a team outside the SEC.
