1.) Alabama losing to Auburn put Alabama in.

2.) OSU beating Wisconsin put Alabama in.

3.) If OSU loses to Wisconsin Alabama is out.

4.) If Alabama beats Auburn and loses to Georgia (which they would have) Alabama is out.

They got rewarded for losing.

FYI: This isn't a defense of OSU post. (OSU screwed the pooch vs Iowa) It's only a post about the irony that a team benefits by losing one week and not having to compete for a playoff spot while then having the team they are directly in competition with for spot number 4 - win - which benefits the team that lost their last game and who would have certainly lost a second game in a row had they had to play it. Oh, the irony. Kind of like when we were thrilled that MSU beat Michigan in 2015 only to realize later it ultimately took Meyer's most talented team out of the CFP.
