A Northwest Columbus neighborhood in Cranston Commons was evacuated after a man reported burns from a device that was possibly a small nuclear reactor and potential radiation. He had told first responders that he suffered “radio frequency burns” while working on a “quantum physics generator” in his garage. Investigation determined there was no reactor or danger and the device was a capacitor. He was taken for a mental-health evaluation.
