We're coming up on the end here. With this 94th edition, there are only a handful of editions left in this series. Here's to six more weeks of tunes, and here's to the Buckeyes staying undefeated.

We're starting off with a bang, one of the most classic heavy metal songs of all time from one of the quintessential metal bands: Iron Maiden. This banger from 1983 was inspired by Lord Tennyson's poem "Charge of the Light Brigade," which concerned the famous, bloody cavalry charge led by Lord Cardigan at the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War. "The Trooper" remains to this day one of the most enduring songs ever composed on the subject of war, and captures the frenetic pace of a 19th century battle.

Next up we have a song from my favorite Arabic pop star, Mohamed Hamaki of Egypt. This is actually a remix of one of his early hits, "Ahla Haga Feeki," featuring DJ Idriss and the Dutch House musician Perry Mystique. The beat is hypnotic.

Next is a song from Action Bronson's excellent album Mr. Wonderful. This song is one of the quieter tracks, but stands out because it tones down Bronson's usual bombastic braggadoccio in favor of a more brooding, Noirish narration. Equal parts jazzy and hip-hop, thanks to producer Party Supplies it's full of organic instrumental sounds rather than the usual studio-engineered beat. This is "Light in the Addict."

Last up, because I always like to mix it up, is a song everyone here should recognize and enjoy. This is a song about staying the course, being true to yourself, and keeping your word. This is "I Walk the Line" by Johnny Cash.
