In the latest edition of its annual rankings, US News & World Report has Ohio State tied for 56th nationally and tied for 5th among the B1G schools behind Northwestern (10th), Michigan (27), Illinois (46), and Wisconsin (49), tied at 56th with Purdue and Rutgers, and just ahead of Penn State (59).

Other notables: Princeton is #1 overall, followed by Harvard, Columbia, and MIT, the Ivy League has eight in the top 16, and UCLA is the top public university (19th overall). TCU is 80th and Tulane, next week’s opponent is 44th.
