There was a minor stupid kerfuffle on twitter today when it came out that the new Ryan Gosling movie about the moon landing left out the planting of the American flag.  They claim that they are presenting the moon landing as a "human achievement that transcends any nation."  Now, I could care less about the dumb twitter controversy and all of the unbearable think pieces that will be written from all sides of the political spectrum about it.  I also, for now, want to put aside the obvious truth that all Eleven Warriors readers know, which is that the moon rightfully belongs to Ohio.  What I want to ask is:  Isn't celebrating Americans landing on the moon as an achievement for all humanity kind of like Tennessee fans chanting "SEC" when Alabama wins something?

Then again what do you expect from the actor that couldn't cover anybody in Remember the Titans?
