Now that the season is close, sports talk statisticians are combing their data for useless facts to hype whatever teams are playing. My favorite today is:
- Northwestern has the longest winning streak in the B1G at 8. That's nice, but they were 10 - 3 (7-2 B1G) overall and second to 13 - 1 Wisky with its 1 game streak. Not to knock NW but get real. BTW, tOSU clocks in at 2 with 5.
One of my favorites is "Team X has never lost when (insert whatever current conditions are) at halftime or third quarter or at home or when it's the third saturday with a harvest moon...
What are your favorite useless statistics that seem to always get put out?
