We're starting this medley off strong with a song and band that need no introduction. While I'm not the biggest Metallica fan (I tend to prefer Megadeth if we're talking classic thrash), I don't think you can call yourself a metalhead if you don't absolutely love their song, "One." Apart from being instrumentally beautiful, One is a haunting, disturbing story of a World War One (though with the helicopter sounds at the start it was written more with Vietnam in mind) soldier brutally maimed by a landmine, left without any limbs, blind, deaf, and dumb.
Next up is a classic song from one of the greatest musical acts of the 20th century, the Four Seasons. This song, "Rag Doll," is carried by Frankie Valli's signature falsetto, but wouldn't get very far without the excellent drum beat.
Next is a song that annoyed me for a very long time when it was hot on the radio, but which I came to enjoy after it sank into obscurity. This is Benny Benassi's "Cinema" (the Skrillex remix).
The last song in our lineup is a gem from Brazil's greatest musician, Roberto Carlos (not to be confused with his compatriot of the same name, a soccer player). This is "Furduncio."
